Archies was founded by Anil Moolchandani; he started his career in a family owned Sari Shop in Delhi, after he completed his graduation. He got his first order which was worth Rs. 12 by the customer who came from Lucknow. The business was mounted and in the year 1981, the company held with its first distributor in New Delhi. Archies got its first license from Walt Disney in the year 1984. Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse started appearing on greeting cards of India. Archies became a recognized brand and a household name in a very short period of time.
